4th of July Family Weekend Celebration on Lake James!
2010 Fourth of July Fireworks and Flotilla July 3rd
The Annual LJA 4th of July Flotilla Parade will be held this year on Saturday, July 3rd at 3PM, beginning and ending at Potawatomi Inn Bay. This will be a great day of events your family won’t want to miss. Plan a picnic on your boat or a cook out on your pontoon or have a party at your cottage and make a day of it!
To really pull your family and friends together, consider being a part of the Flotilla! This year, we encourage entrants to choose their own unique theme for decorating their speedboats, pontoons, fishing boats, sailboats with motors, jet skis, whatever you have that runs. Use a variety of options such as those shown on our slide show link above . This will give you ideas for decorating as well as safety issues to keep in mind.
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
- Best Decorated Boat
- Best Classic Boat
- Best Decorated Business Boat
There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize trophies awarded, plus a brand-new Grand Prize overall this year! More information to come.

Come to Potawatomi Inn Bay at 2:30 for your number and instructions. This years Grand Marshall are Don and Rene Scheimann (Rene is past LJ Ski Club and current LJA President).
