Lake James History Book News:

As this is written in June 2012, we have sold over 900 copies of the book, A History of Lake James.  This is a remarkable response to a book Old photowhich first became available just 6 months ago. 
Obtaining the book: The book may be ordered through our Merchandise page, located elsewhere on this Lake James Association website.  It is also available for direct purchase at the Angola Library, the Pokagon State Park- Potawatomi  Inn Gift Shop, Dry Dock Marine and the History Center on Berry Street in downtown Fort Wayne.

New DVD: We are happy to announce that we now have the DVD of Jim & Flaim's presentation at the Angola Library in January. It contains introductory remarks about the creation of the book, an overview of the book along with some new photos, and a question and answer session at the end.  Our thanks to Trent Lewis of Channel 20 who filmed the presentation and put together the DVD's for us.  The DVD may be ordered on the Merchandise page of this website.
Lake James PostcardDescription of book: The book has 416 pages and includes over 500 photos. Topics covered include: Introduction and early history, 25 individual beach histories with anecdotes, boating, camps, cottage life, Lake James Golf Club, Lake James Ski/ Sports Club, Lake James Yacht Club, Fishing, Bledsoes Beach, Pokagon State Park, lake mail delivery, maps, and marinas.
